Complimenting the ever popular AM template which sits in the Carver family and is more suited to longer drawn-out turns, the CI upright can be paired to a variety of CI models and is designed for speed & tight turns.

Overview

The upright nature of this template promotes tighter turns and therefore comes to life in punchy, hollow waves and when performing vertical turns, but it will also suit conditions where you need immediate start-up speed from the take off. The full, robust profile of this fin from base-to-tip allows surfers to push hard while still getting that freedom to turn easily.

Performance Core

Performance Core (PC) fins are made using a multi-layered resin transfer molding process. The flex pattern in PC fins extends progressively from the base through to the tip, helping the surfer to maintain drive and hold through a turn. This versatile fin material is light, and can be used in a variety of different conditions.

However, the world is wide and surfboards to get to you in perfect conditions, can be quite a journey these days. That is why we encourage you to tell the carrier to write down "revision pending" upon delivery. After, please follow some steps before you unpack and enjoy the content of your package.

Returns or exchanges can be done in person in one of our local stores or by mail. Note that all items must be in their original state with tags and accompanied by proof of purchase. Doubts? > sales@pukassurfshop.com

 

· Items | Can be returned within 30 calendar days from the time of purchase. 
· Perishable goods | Surfboards, magazines/books, maps or gift cards, etc., cannot be returned*.

Once your return request is confirmed, you will receive a label via email that must be attached to the return package and dropped off at the selected pick-up point.

  • Return shipping cost will depend on the destination country and will match the original shipping cost. This will be deducted from the refund once the item is received.

All associated costs (shipping, taxes, customs, duties) are the customer’s responsibility. To choose the right FCS fins for your surfboard, start with the fin size recommended for your body weight, then consider your board’s fin setup, the waves you normally surf and the performance you want. Here is a quick guide to choose the best fin for your surfboard.

Fins with more flex create a whipping action that helps lighter, more agile surfers generate and hold speed through turns.

Stiffer fins allow heavier & stronger surfers to push hard through turns without overpowering the fins.

NEO GLASS

Neo Glass fins are precision molded using long strand fiberglass and a marine grade polymer. Very affordable yet considered a premium construction due to its high fiberglass content and active flex pattern, these fins will accommodate a wide range of surfers and surfing conditions.

NEO CARBON

Considered a premium construction, Neo Carbon fins are precision molded using milled long strand carbon and the highest-grade European resin.

This unique material has unparalleled stiffness-to-weight ratio, so they’re not only light but incredibly responsive.

PERFORMANCE CORE

Performance Core (PC) fins are made using a multi-layered resin transfer molding process. The flex pattern in PC fins extends progressively from the base through to the tip, helping the surfer to maintain drive and hold through a turn. This versatile fin material is light, and can be used in a variety of different conditions.

Fins with AirCore Technology feature a pressed polyurethane foam core that mimics the geometric foil of the fin. AirCore technology reduces the amount of fiberglass required in the RTM moulding process making it much lighter while allowing total manipulation of the flex.

FIBRE FUSION

Mick Fanning’s Glass Fibre Fusion fin features Rapid Flex Recovery produced by High Tension Tip Flex. This dynamic and responsive fin pattern harnesses energy and instantly snaps back to its original shape, producing increased speed and acceleration between turns and more control during critical moments.

The MF template, renowned as the pinnacle of high-performance surfing and favoured by professionals worldwide, is now offered in FCS's advanced Glass Fibre Fusion (GFF) technology.

This Swiss-engineered construction, utilising robotic precision automation and premium materials, combines auni-directional fibreglass skin and a 65% Short Strand Fiberglass and Resin Polymer composite base toproduce a fin that’s lightwith exceptional strength and a responsive flex pattern.

For the user this meansan efficient conversion of power into acceleration, seamless rail-to-railcontrol at high speeds, and a feeling of connectivity between the board and fin. 

PERFORMANCE CORE CARBON

Often referred to as PC Carbon or PCC, these fins are highly responsive and feature strategically placed carbon that’s designed to complement the fin template. PCC fins suit fast surfing and are favored by power surfers who like to perform explosive turns on critical parts of the wave.

Our latest example of PC Carbon is the new PCC Essential Series, in this series the internal carbon framework is designed specifically to suit each template, and by switching to epoxy resin and adding a carbon twill to the base we’ve delivered a more user-friendly flex pattern.

Stiffness in the lower half of the fin enhances drive and acceleration from take-off, and a softer flex through the top half of the fin results in a smoother and more predictable feel when turning.

The PCC Essential Series fins are also created using Aircore technology which is a pressed polyurethane foam core that mimics the geometric foil of the fin. With AirCore we can make a much lighter fin with total manipulation of the flex.

PERFORMANCE GLASS

Reserved for the FCS Specialty Series, Performance Glass (PG) fins are machine cut from layers of solid fiberglass. These fins are stiff, and are widely used by pro level surfers because the integrity of the flex is maintained under immense force, and in the most extreme of conditions and situations.
