Barrett Miller is a young Californian surfer and surfboard shaper whose roots trace back to Capistrano Beach, California. He started shaping surfboards around the age of 14, driven by a simple but powerful desire — to create surfcraft that didn’t yet exist. What began as curiosity quickly evolved into a passion that now carries his name and distinctive style.
Based in San Diego, Barrett honed his skills under Lamination Surf Design, working not only on his own label but also contributing to Joel Tudor Surfboards and THC. His boards reflect a deep appreciation for surf history, blending 1970s single-fin designs and classic log shapes with a modern touch. His influences include icons such as Donald Takayama, Skip Frye, and Dick Brewer — shapers known for their timeless forms and glide.
We’re thrilled to welcome Barrett Miller Surfboards to Pukas Surf Shop.
For the first time, we’re offering a limited pre-order collection of his hand-shaped boards — a mix of timeless silhouettes and performance-driven classics, available now for pre-order, with finished stock boards coming soon.

And we’re stoked to be part of it.
