Some surfboards are made to follow the rules. Others are shaped to question them. Thomas Bexon has always been more interested in the latter.
It all started in his mother's garage on Australia's Sunshine Coast. At just fourteen, Thomas Bexon was already shaping his own surfboards, inspired by the designs he admired in surf films. What began as teenage curiosity soon became a lifelong passion for exploring how different shapes could transform the way we ride waves.
Influenced by the experimental spirit of 1960s surfing and the effortless style of riders like Joel Tudor, Bexon developed a shaping philosophy built around creativity, individuality and performance. From classic noseriders to playful twin fins, eggs and alternative shapes, every design has its own purpose and personality.
Together with glasser Jake Bowrey, he combines traditional craftsmanship with an artistic approach, creating handcrafted surfboards where every curve, contour and subtle imperfection tells a story.
Because for Thomas Bexon, the perfect surfboard isn't necessarily flawless. It's the one that makes you feel something different on a wave.
Different shapes. Different lines. Different ways to experience a wave.
From timeless noseriders to playful twin fins and alternative designs, every Thomas Bexon surfboard has its own character. Built around a particular feeling, each model explores a different balance of glide, speed, control and freedom.
Discover the shapes, understand what makes each one unique, and find the board that speaks to your kind of surfing.

Traditional single-fin lines. Serious waves. No compromises.
Some dreams need bigger waves. Born from Harrison Roach's desire to take traditional single-fin surfing into powerful, demanding conditions, the Big Dreams is Thomas Bexon's answer to a different kind of longboarding.
Developed after testing the All Rounder 2+1 in solid surf at Bells Beach, this refined shape combines the effortless glide of a classic longboard with the speed, hold and confidence needed when the ocean turns serious.
With its wide point positioned forward of centre, the Big Dreams encourages smooth, committed bottom turns. A pulled-in pin tail provides grip through powerful walls, while the streamlined nose cuts through wind and reduces unnecessary drag. Underneath, a subtle rolled entry flows into a light panel V through the tail, balancing speed, control and effortless trim.
Not your everyday log. Not quite a gun. A traditional single fin with bigger ambitions.

Less cruising. More carving. A longboard made to move.
Not every longboard is made to take the easy line. The Bill Pin takes the familiar feeling of traditional single-fin surfing and gives it a more progressive edge.
Evolving from the Thomas Surfboards Keeper, this refined shape is designed for tighter turns and greater responsiveness in the pocket. A narrow, blunt nose and a generous blended concave flowing into roll create a board that feels lively, precise and ready to change direction.
The Bill Pin asks you to get involved. It rewards thoughtful footwork, precise positioning and a willingness to push your longboarding beyond effortless trim.
Built for flowing waves, from beach breaks to clean points and reefs, it brings agility and control to a timeless single-fin setup.
A longboard that doesn't just follow the wave. It invites you to shape your own line.

Fish DNA. Sharper lines. A whole new kind of speed.
Take the effortless speed of a classic fish. Add a little more bite. Born from Thomas Bexon's Mod Fish, the Diamond Twin takes that familiar twin-fin feeling somewhere more progressive.
With increased rocker and a pulled-in diamond tail, this shape is built for quicker rail-to-rail transitions and tighter turns. It carries speed through softer sections, yet comes alive when the wave gets steeper and there's room to push harder.
Unlike a traditional wide swallow-tail fish, the Diamond Twin feels sharper and more engaged in the pocket. It blends the natural flow of a fish with the responsiveness of a performance-oriented twin fin, making it a versatile choice for everyday surfing.
From playful beach breaks to clean points and reefs, it's a board that rewards creativity without asking you to sacrifice speed.
All the speed you love in a fish. With a little more attitude.

One board. Every line. Endless possibilities.
What if a longboard could do it all? Developed alongside Harrison Roach, the Harrison Concept was shaped around a simple ambition: effortless trim, confident turns and exceptional noseriding, even when the wave gets fast and critical.
A narrow nose hides a surprising amount of lift. Generous nose concave and soft bevelled rails help the board stay high in the pocket, while a carefully balanced tail and rocker deliver speed, control and smooth rail-to-rail transitions.
From playful beach breaks to long, running points, the Harrison Concept adapts without losing its character. It's refined enough for demanding surfing, yet approachable enough for those days when all you want is to find your line and enjoy the glide.
The design has also proven itself at the highest level, accompanying Harrison to two Vans Duct Tape victories and a runner-up finish on the WSL longboard tour.
Made to noseride. Born to turn. Designed to keep you moving.

Classic Australian logging. Timeless lines. Pure enjoyment.
Some shapes never go out of style. The Keeper 2.0 is Thomas Bexon's modern interpretation of the traditional Australian log, and one of the most loved designs in the Thomas Surfboards collection.
Built for clean, peeling waves, it brings together effortless trim, dependable stability and classic noseriding. A generous nose outline and wide concave create lift and confidence when stepping forward, while the balanced shape keeps everything feeling natural beneath your feet.
Slightly pinched 50/50 rails soften the connection with the wave, becoming more refined through the tail for smooth, controlled turns. The result is a single-fin longboard that feels reassuring without losing its personality.
From your first proper cross-steps to long, unhurried sessions at your favorite point break, the Keeper 2.0 makes room for every kind of longboarder.
Nothing complicated. Just good waves, clean lines and a board worth keeping.

Easy glide. Happy feet. A little more time on the nose.
Some longboards make everything feel a little easier. The Malibu is Thomas Bexon's take on a versatile noserider, built to find flow in everything from soft beach breaks to clean, peeling points.
A generous nose and square tail create a stable platform, while the deep nose concave and chamfered edge help you settle into longer, more confident noserides. It's forgiving when you're finding your feet, yet lively enough to keep things interesting.
Classic 50/50 rails flow into a more refined tail, giving the Malibu a smooth, connected feeling with just enough response when it's time to change direction.
From small, playful waves to clean head-high surf, this is a longboard that makes the most of the conditions in front of you. Easy to approach, rewarding to progress on, and always ready for one more wave.
More time on the nose. More freedom in every line.

Easy on the nose. Lively off the tail. Ready for anything.
Some longboards are all about the glide. Others come alive when you start to turn. The Moose Knuckle brings both feelings together in one beautifully balanced shape.
Developed with Thomas Surfboards team riders, particularly Mason Schremmer, this versatile log pairs a generous nose and deep concave with a slightly pulled-in square tail. The result is a board that feels stable when you step forward, yet responsive when you shift your weight back and start drawing lines.
From fade take-offs and drop-knee turns to confident noserides, the Moose Knuckle gives you room to explore traditional longboarding with a more playful edge.
Tested in everything from knee-high surf to powerful points and Indonesian reefs, it feels equally at home cruising through soft sections or engaging the rail when the wave opens up.
A little more freedom in every turn. A little more confidence on every wave.

More power. Sharper turns. Twin-fin freedom.
When the waves get serious, your twin fin should be ready to follow. The MV1 takes everything surfers love about the MV2 and pushes it into more performance-driven territory.
With extra rocker, a refined outline and a single-to-double concave flowing into spiral vee through the fins, it's built for speed, control and committed turns when the ocean starts to deliver.
Designed for powerful waves and overhead conditions, the MV1 brings a more responsive, confident feeling to the twin-fin experience. It can even step into the role of a step-up twin fin, giving you extra range without committing to a conventional performance shortboard.
Ride it with a little more volume than your everyday shortboard and enjoy the paddle power, drive and natural freedom that make twin fins so addictive.
More performance when you need it. All the freedom that makes a twin fin special.

Old-school soul. Modern drive. No need to choose.
Who says you have to choose between a proper noserider and a longboard that loves to turn? The New Faithful brings traditional logging and contemporary performance together in one remarkably versatile shape.
A wider, balanced outline and reduced hips encourage longer, more flowing turns, while a hard edge through the final inches of the tail adds drive, speed and responsiveness. It's a board that wants to travel across the wave, not just pivot in place.
Up front, a generous nose, deep concave and carefully considered tail rocker help the New Faithful settle into confident, controlled noserides. Underneath, a flatter bottom keeps things stable and moving, even when the waves lose their energy.
From soft summer peelers to powerful point breaks, this hybrid longboard makes room for different conditions and different ways of surfing.
Walk to the nose. Step back and accelerate. Make every line your own.

California soul. A little less speed. A lot more time on the nose.
Some longboards are made to cover ground. Others are made to make every second on the nose count. The Scoop Tail Noserider is Thomas Bexon's distinctive take on the classic Californian noserider, built around one simple pleasure: staying up front for as long as the wave allows.
A generous nose, deep concave and plenty of width through the front create a stable platform for confident cross-stepping and wide-stance noseriding. But the real character of this shape reveals itself at the other end, where an exaggerated tail flip meets its unmistakable scooped-out tail.
Underneath, the nose concave blends into a gently rolled bottom, becoming more pronounced around the scoop. Together with the tail flip, this encourages smooth, controlled turns and deliberate stalls, helping the board settle into the pocket instead of racing ahead of the wave.
That distinctive tail isn't just there to turn heads. By adding hold and slowing things down, it gives the surfer more time to find their feet, move forward and enjoy the view from the nose.
Inspired by classic Rick noseriders and the Australian shaping heritage of Dennis Anderson, the Scoop Tail brings an unmistakable personality to soft, flowing waves.
Find the pocket. Walk to the nose. Stay a little longer.

Less foam. More feeling. A different way to ride the nose.
Some of the most interesting details in surfboard design are the ones you can feel beneath your feet. The Step Deck is one of Thomas Bexon's personal favourites, bringing a classic Californian longboard outline together with a clever approach to flex, turning and noseriding.
Its defining feature is a subtle step in the deck that removes volume from the front third of the board. Less foam up front means less swing weight when turning from the tail, while the thinner nose introduces a little extra flex when you walk forward.
That flex gives the Step Deck a character all its own. Press forward through faster sections and the nose can flatten slightly, helping the board maintain speed. Adjust your weight when the wave slows down and the nose can lift, creating drag to help you stay in the pocket.
A long, blended nose concave provides a stable platform for noseriding, while the belly through the back of the board keeps the feeling smooth and traditional. Everything works together to give you more control over your speed and position, without losing the easy flow of a classic log.
Clean lines, thoughtful shaping and a subtle detail that changes the entire experience. The Step Deck is proof that sometimes taking something away is what makes a board feel more alive.
Step forward. Feel the flex. Find your own rhythm.

Classic logging soul. A little more freedom to turn.
Not every longboard needs to choose between traditional noseriding and a more playful approach to the wave. The Wizl brings the two together, offering the easy glide of a classic log with a little extra energy when it's time to change direction.
Sitting somewhere between the Moose Knuckle and the 2+1 All Rounder in Thomas Bexon's range, the Wizl is designed for surfers who love walking to the nose but also want the freedom to surf from the tail. Subtle rocker adjustments, a slightly pulled-in diamond tail and a touch of tucked edge give the board a more responsive feel without losing its traditional character.
That extra response comes into its own in beach breaks, where the wave rarely offers the same line twice. The Wizl makes it easier to redirect, adjust your position and find your way back into the pocket, while still feeling beautifully at home on long, clean point breaks.
Up front, a medium blended nose concave transitions into a flatter bottom, working with the rocker to create lift and stability through noserides, even when the wave starts to soften. It's a thoughtful balance of classic logging and everyday versatility.
From imperfect onshore sessions to those rare, perfectly lined-up days, the Wizl is the kind of longboard that keeps the possibilities open.
Walk to the nose. Come back to the tail. Make every wave your own.

THOMAS SURFBOARDS / FAQ
Everything you need to know about choosing the right Thomas Surfboards longboard.
No. Thomas Surfboards does not offer custom surfboard orders. The boards are available in selected models, dimensions and finishes. At Pukas Surf Shop, you can explore our current selection of Thomas Surfboards and choose the shape that best suits your surfing style and preferences.
Thomas Surfboards offers several longboards designed with noseriding in mind. The Scoop Tail Noserider focuses on stability, hold and spending more time on the nose, while the Step Deck uses a thinner, flexible nose to provide additional control. Models such as the Moose Knuckle and Wizl also offer traditional noseriding characteristics with different levels of turning responsiveness. The best choice depends on your experience, preferred waves and surfing style.
Both models embrace traditional longboarding, but they offer different sensations. The Moose Knuckle leans toward classic logging and noseriding, while the Wizl adds a more responsive feel from the tail thanks to its subtle rocker adjustments, diamond tail and tucked edge. The Wizl is particularly versatile for surfers who enjoy noseriding but also want to make more frequent direction changes, especially in beach breaks.
Many Thomas Surfboards longboards are designed to perform in knee-high to head-high waves, particularly in softer, longer and more flowing conditions. Depending on the model, they can be enjoyed at point breaks, reef breaks and beach breaks. Some shapes prioritize traditional trimming and noseriding, while others offer more versatility and turning response. Choosing the right model for your local waves can make a significant difference.
Our team at Pukas Surf Shop can help you compare models, dimensions and available surfboards to find the best match for your experience, surfing style and local conditions.
