Put your mind at ease. Our team has a lifetime experience wrapping these beast. We want them to arrive to you in perfect conditions as much as you.

However, the world is wide and surfboards to get to you in perfect conditions, can be quite a journey these days. That is why we encourage you to tell the carrier to write down "revision pending" upon delivery. After, please follow some steps before you unpack and enjoy the content of your package.

Returns & Refunds

If You Are Looking to Make a Return ↩️  Here's How:

Returns or exchanges can be done in person in one of our local stores or by mail. Note that all items must be in their original state with tags and accompanied by proof of purchase. Doubts? > sales@pukassurfshop.com

 

· Items | Can be returned within 30 calendar days from the time of purchase. 
· Perishable goods | Surfboards, magazines/books, maps or gift cards, etc., cannot be returned*.
· Surfboards* | You have 30 calendar days to claim a faulty item to leo@pukassurfshop.com

To complete your return, go to the return link, enter your postal code and order number. Return your order in just a few steps here. 

Once your return request is confirmed, you will receive a label via email that must be attached to the return package and dropped off at the selected pick-up point.

  • Return shipping cost will depend on the destination country and will match the original shipping cost. This will be deducted from the refund once the item is received.

THOMAS SURFBOARDS | STEP DECK

The Step Deck by Thomas Surfboards is a traditional longboard built around a wide, Californian-style outline and its distinctive stepped deck. One of Thomas Bexon’s personal favorite designs, the Step Deck combines a classic longboard aesthetic with a functional approach to turning, flex and noseriding.

The STEP DECK

The defining feature is the subtle step in the deck, which reduces volume through the front third of the surfboard. Removing foam from this area decreases swing weight when turning from the tail, helping the board move more freely through direction changes. At the same time, the thinner front section creates additional flex when the surfer moves onto the nose.

MORE ABOUT THE STEP DECK

That flex through the nose allows the board to react differently depending on the wave and the surfer’s positioning. In faster sections, applying forward pressure can flatten the nose rocker slightly and help generate more speed. In slower sections, shifting weight toward the heels or adjusting your stance can encourage the nose to lift and push more water, helping reduce speed and maintain position on the wave.

A long, blended nose concave works together with belly through the back of the board to complete the Step Deck’s noseriding-focused design. The result is a Thomas Surfboards longboard that combines functional flex, controlled speed and dedicated noseriding performance with the clean aesthetic that makes the Step Deck such a distinctive shape.

What is a step deck longboard?

A step deck longboard has reduced thickness through part of the deck, creating a visible step between different areas of the board. On the Thomas Step Deck, this reduces volume through the front third and allows the nose to flex more under the surfer’s weight.

How does the step deck affect the way the board turns?

Reducing volume through the front of the Thomas Step Deck lowers swing weight when turning from the tail. This helps the nose move more freely through turns compared with having the same amount of volume throughout the board.

Is the Thomas Surfboards Step Deck good for noseriding?

Yes. The Step Deck combines flex through the nose, a long blended nose concave and belly through the back, creating a design specifically suited to noseriding. The flex can also help the surfer manage speed while positioned toward the front of the board.

How does nose flex affect the Step Deck's speed?

The nose can flex depending on the surfer's weight and position. Forward pressure in faster sections can help flatten the nose rocker and increase speed, while different weight distribution in slower sections can lift the nose and push more water to help slow the board down.
