CONGRATS TO OUR WOMEN'S TEAM FOR WINNING THE PLAYERUAK CUP THIS YEAR
Many of you might be wondering "what is this about?". Well... we are not only into surfing.
So, what is Playeros actually?
Each year, at the beach in Zarautz, all town companies compete at a soccer championship. It all starts around october and ends at the beginnings of may.
Matches are played every 2 sundays at the beach at lowtide. No matter the weather, no matter the conditions, no mather the temperature. We've had games at stormy and rainy 2 degrees, 08:00 am. It can get pretty hard. Men against men and women against women. No shoes allowed at mens games.

This year, the final was played on saturday 4th of may. It was raining, it was windy and it was freaking awesome. All friends, coworkers, team members & families came to watch and cheer the team up. After 90 minutes of tension and emotions, our women's team (Shelter-Pukas) won the cup against Kirkilla Jatetxea, who gave a difficult and intense opposition. They won 0-1. The whole crew was living it. An we still are.

The Pukas-Shelter Men and Shelter-Pukas Women teams will be ready for the next season 2024-25. And anyone who's around Zarautz any time between October and May is, of course, invited to come watch and cheer us up.
