It's been a no-doubt choice for new surfers for 20+ years now. The BW Potato is the smallest to the BW family. It's mission is to deliver the biggest amount of volumen in a smaller package. For those who don't want a huge board for whatever the reason, this one is your fighter.

When swapping your softie for your first PU board, the most important thing is for you to be able to get as many waves as possible. The more waves you catch, the more you practice your paddling, take-offs and stance on the board.

Keep in mind that the bigger the board and the more volume it has, the easier it will be for you to enjoy it if you’re a beginner. So, don’t be scared to go big. However, if you have doubts when choosing your size, you can contact our team anytime.

How to choose your Potato:

Go for 6'0"- 6'2" if:

  • You're weight is under 65kg.
  • You don't have a lot of paddeling power yet and don't feel stable on the board.
  • Your an intermediate surfer looking for a fun alternative for the smaller days.

Go for 6'4" - 6'6" if:

  • You weight more than 70Kg.
  • You're transitioning from softie to PU.
  • You're a surfer of advanced age and are looking for a board that helps with paddeling and stability.

Go for 6'8" if: 

  • You weight more than 85Kg.
  • You need a lot of help with padeling and stability.

Always remember, the bigger the board and the more volume it has, the easier it will make the surfing experience for you if you're a beginner.

Surfboards we hold in stock are ready for inmediate dispatch (24-48h from Monday to Friday) and will arrive at your doorstep in a few days depending on your location. By the way, we ship world wide.

Our Custom Board Builder allows you to customize size, width, thickness, volume, color, logo placement, glassing, fin setup, fin system, finish and overall look. Factory lead times may vary depending on your desired brand, model and surfboard characteristics.

Each board goes through a quality check, is photographed in our studios in Donostia / San Sebastian (Basque Country, Spain) and is handled with care before heading your way.
